Healthcare Supervision Logbook provides a new way of preparing for appraisal and revalidation within the UK healthcare setting, specifically designed for users within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust.

Users use the App after every clinical session to record their activities, collecting evidence of educational activities and clinical work. The data collected is securely stored. You don’t even need internet access to use the App at work in the hospital setting.

This App has many functions and will make gathering evidence for annual appraisal and revalidation simple and easy.

Healthcare Supervision Logbook has a function for providing feedback on medical training from both a trainee’s and a trainer’s perspective.

The App has four main functions:

> Trainee’s can provide feedback on their training
> Trainers/Supervisors can assess and rate their trainee’s performance
> Activities and practical procedures can be recorded easily
> Patient and Colleague feedback can be easily collected

Healthcare Supervision Logbook allows trainee doctors to provide session-by-session feedback on their training, including their perceived value of the educational content of their training.

The App allows trainers to assess and rate the performance of the trainee they are supervising after each session.

The data collected can be easily handled and managed by the desktop content management system which comes together with the App, summary reports can be viewed and trends easily identified.

Healthcare Supervision Logbook also has functions which support appraisal and revalidation for doctors and other healthcare professions.

It can be used to collect details of clinical activities and record specific practical procedures, using the logbook function.

Healthcare Supervision Logbook can also be used to collect feedback from patient’s and colleagues.
